Why it is fun to talk to Michael Lewis

I interviewed Michael Lewis about his new podcast Against the Rules for the CBS This Morning podcast. A podcast about a podcast is a turduckencast, as no one calls it. Lewis is smart, funny and sharp enough to open your trickiest envelopes. What I enjoyed about talking to him– as I always do– is listening to how he answers questions. He takes them apart and replies to their component parts. He finds implicit questions you hadn’t asked and makes connections you hadn’t intended. It’s one thing to hear an answer. Michael makes me think about how he processes information.

  1. Michael Lewis is my favorite author who makes complex subjects understandable. He was at Salomon Bros. when I was there as a nurse supporting myself through graduate school. In my position I met most of the players in his book, “Liars Poker.”
