Magnify the Lord

The choir at St. Paul the Apostle in New York is a wonder. I always leave mass with one of their songs in my head. This week I recorded part of one because it so moved me. Here is a snippet:

  1. How lovely. I am not familiar with that one.
Drives me nuts when I leave Mass and a I find myself humming a certain song all day long!????????????

Thank you for passing on this holy earworm. I appreciate your place in our culture in this particular moment in time.

    1. I am the Bread of Life is a great favorite of mine. I’ve never been able to find a version in the real world that I like as much as the way they perform it at my church.

  3. While the music touches my soul, it’s the fact that I’m listening to it from a personal recording that inspires me the most. To be tethered to humanity from a line created by a man searching for his own personal connection to inspire others offers us hope. Although we’re reliving some dark days from our history, with more kindness and connections we can persevere.

  4. I was thrilled to learn that you’re going to be a correspondent on 60 Minutes. I’ve wondered for years why you weren’t the evening news anchor, but at least I’ll be seeing you on 60 Minutes.
